Add a Huge Title or Embellishment to a Photo Collage for Impact

I had a bunch of photos of my nephew riding his bike for me and showing off. That was fun to watch! Anyway, when it came time to scrapbook the fun, I was working with a lot of photos on one subject. So I cropped them and started piecing them together on this layout.

Some of the photos are butted right up against one another while others are floating, centered on the section of mat behind them. Together it really makes one big collage of photos. The big letters are intended for use as monogram type letters but when I placed them all on the page as one title, they really took on a new personality. The background paper here is just plain cardstock and the big letters are differing colors some of which have designs upon them making them stand out quite well. Too, even though there is a mat behind some of the photos, it is similar in color to the photos and that makes it almost disappear.

This whole layout is monochromatic if you take away the title – that’s why the title stands out so much. To balance the bold title in the upper left-hand corner, I placed a bicycle die cut in the bottom right-hand corner.

Do you have a jillion photos of one subject? Try cropping them and making a monochromatic collage then put a big, bold, colored title on your layout and pat yourself on the back – that’s easy!
