Where can you get great layout ideas?
This layout was one I was inspired to recreate from a picture I saw in my favorite scrapbook magazine, Scrapbooks, Etc., and I had fun recreating it!
I was able to use several of my small scraps of paper and letters left over after creating other pages and I’m so proud of the outcome. This is why I love scrapbooking!
There are a lot of great layouts that you can find in the public. All you need to do is seek and find!
Here, I’ve listed some ways you can find layouts for those times you find yourself staring at a blank scrapbook space or constantly flipping through photos searching for inspiration.
Where to get great layout ideas:
Google- You can choose to search images rather than all web content. Just select images and do a search for scrapbooks. You’ll bring up many images of pages other scrapbookers have uploaded and you can get great ideas from their layouts. Plus, this search will also bring up images from photo websites like Flickr, Photo Bucket, Shutter Fly, SmugMug and even You Tube.
Magazines- I subscribe to Scrapbooks, Etc. and each issue highlights layouts and of course has lots of beautiful photographs of finished pages. But they publish these layouts online for all of us to find so you can get them even if you don’t have a subscription.
Specialty Site Galleries- Sites like Scrapbook.com, Free Digital Scrapbooking.com and DIYNetwork.com have scores of pictures of layout designs just waiting for you to find.
Advertisements- As you thumb through your favorite magazine or stroll at your local mall, pay attention to the ads, flyers and posters you see. You just might see something that gives you a great idea.
